I am a pediatric gastroenterologist with an interest in obesity and its co-morbidities, particularly hypercholesterolemia. My expertise includes the use of ex-vivo enteroid models to assess the role of intracellular cholesterol trafficking in cholesterol absorption. I have also developed a murine model of vertical sleeve gastrectomy to understand how gastric resection improves plasma cholesterol levels.
