I am a molecular biologist with expertise in functional genomics and molecular metabolism. I am interested in the pathophysiological processes governing metabolic diseases, including both tissue specific processes as well as the systemic and integrative crosstalk between organs. At the Tontonoz lab I am investigating the mechanisms that control cholesterol transport by Aster proteins and their functional impact on adipose biology in health and diseases.
